From Apollonia's to Eat & Gather: Our Story and What's Changed
If you've worked with us before, you might know us by a different name — Apollonia's Italian Kitchen. If you've stumbled onto this site looking for Apollonia's, you're in the right place. Here's what changed, and — just as importantly — what didn't.
Where We Started
Apollonia's Italian Kitchen built its reputation on scratch-made Italian food — the kind of baked ziti, lasagna, and chicken parmigiano that made a buffet line feel like a home-cooked meal. That foundation hasn't gone anywhere. Every one of those dishes is still on our menu today, made the same way, by the same kitchen.
Why We Became Eat & Gather
Over the years, our catering grew well beyond Italian menus alone — Mexican and Tex-Mex spreads, Greek kabobs and gyros, American classics like brisket and pulled pork, and an entire wedding and celebration division that had really become its own thing. The name Apollonia's Italian Kitchen no longer captured the full range of what we were actually doing for clients.
Eat & Gather reflects what's always been true about our approach: food is the center of the gathering, whatever kind of gathering it is. A business lunch, a wedding reception, a backyard birthday party — the goal is the same. Good food, brought together with care, that makes people want to linger a little longer.
What Stayed the Same
The kitchen. Same team, same recipes, same attention to detail on every order.
The range. If you loved a specific Italian dish from Apollonia's, it's still on the menu — nothing was retired in the rebrand.
The personal approach. Every event still starts with a real conversation about your vision, your guests, and what you're hoping the day feels like.
What's New
A broader menu, spanning Italian, Mexican & Tex-Mex, American specialties, and Greek — built to flex around whatever your event calls for.
Table & Toast, our dedicated wedding and celebration experience, with structured package tiers (The Table, The Gathering, The Celebration, The Toast) designed specifically around weddings rather than adapted from a general catering menu.
A refreshed focus on service styles — buffet, plated, family-style, and interactive action stations — so the how of your event gets as much thought as the what.
Still the Same Team, Ready for Your Next Event
Whether you knew us as Apollonia's or you're discovering Eat & Gather for the first time, the invitation is the same: let's talk about your event, and let's make it a good one.
